Statement Of Faith and Purpose **The programs and activities governing the form of worship of Touch of Faith, Inc. “Outreach Ministries” shall be based upon and at all times shall be consistent with the following creed and beliefs. 1. The Scriptures: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as the Holy Spirit moved upon them. We, as recorded in the New Testament, accept the New Covenant, as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (II Tim. 3:16; I Thess. 2:13; II Peter 1:21) 2. The Godhead: There is one God, the Father of all, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, which comes forth from the Father and the Son and is eternal. (Philippians 2:6; Matt. 3:16-17)
3. MAN, His Fall and Redemption: Man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God, created to live in fellowship with God, but through Adam’s transgression and subsequent fall, Sin came into the world causing spiritual separation between Man and his creator.
4. Eternal Life: God has promised those who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and the Substitute for their judgment that they will live eternally with Him. (Romans 5:21; 6:23; I John 5:13) 5. Water Baptism: Water baptism is by immersion after we believe. In this we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and it is an answer of a good conscience before God. (Romans 6:1-7; I Peter 3:21). One of the two Ordinances of the Church. 6. The Infilling of The Holy Spirit: Jesus promised that he would send the Holy Ghost to baptize the believer with power and lead him into all truth; with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as stated in the book of Acts. Every believer is entitled to, should seek for, and should expect to receive the “Baptism in the Holy Spirit” 7. Sanctification: The believer should seek God to perfect Christ in him until the life he lives demonstrates the sanctification that is provided in Jesus Christ. 8. Divine Healing: Healing for all was provided in the atonement and is available to all who are in need, by the laying on of the hands of the believer. (Matt. 8:17; Mark 16:18; James 5:14-20; I Peter 2:24) 9. Second Coming of Christ: The blessed hope of the Christian is the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ. He will come again to this Earth and establish His Kingdom over all kingdom and powers. (Acts 1:11; Titus 3:13; Hebrews 9:28; Revelations 11:15). 10. Communion Service: We believe that in partaking of the Communion Table, we do show the Lord’s death for us until He come. (I Corin. 11:23-31) It is also a renewing of the covenant between our Lord and us and between the assembled believers. It symbolizes the New Blood Covenant. One of the two Ordinances of the Church.
